From 1994/95 Ford keys have either a red top or a blue top. From 1994 to 2000 they contained a red chip, 2000 onwards they contained a blue chip.

We can supply and fit keys and remote key fobs for:

Sorry we cannot supply Ford Galaxy as this is a Volkswagen!!

Ford keys from 1995 have a immobiliser chip inside. System 1 had a 3 key system, 1 master red key and 2 black keys. Remote Key Ltd are able to programme new keys without the red master key.

For Fords from 2004 onwards, vehicles have a password protected immobiliser system. This system is the most advanced yet and we can fit most new Ford vehicles.

We can clone all Ford keys without the need to see the vehicle, all we need is a working key to copy from and we will produce you a second working key including the immobilise chip.

We can copy from a remote key to produce a normal key which will start the car but not have the remote control, to supply a remote control key we need to see the vehicle.

Lost Keys?

Remote Key Ltd can supply and fit new Ford keys and Ford remote key fobs without any documentation. Lost keys will be erased from the system and will no longer work.

If you have the code number as shown below this will save you time and money.

The above tag was supplied with the keys when new. It is the number to cut a new key, not the immobiliser chip number. All remote keys still have the red or blue chip inside as shown above for the immobiliser system.

Ford Remote Key Fob

The Ford remote key fob shown on the right has two types:

• Radio type - as fitted to vehicles after 1998
• Infrared type - fitted post 1998

N.B.

Look for the small glass eye as shown at the bottom of this picture. If your remote key has this glass eye then you have an infrared key fob.

If there is no glass eye, the remote key fob is a radio type. We do not supply this exact radio type remote key fob - we will fit the modern remote key fob shown above for 2000 onwards, it will do exactly the same job.
